I don't see a place for a hate crime but at one point the protagonist pulls a man out of his cab, and instigates a mob hate crime by screaming Al-Queda and pointing to him. A crowd of white people violent tear him apart (I turned it off at this point so I don't know if he lives or dies). Last I heard he was lying on the ground screaming that he loves America and Bush.
