Melanie is a domestic abuse survivor, and can talk about it at a couple points. Halligan also attacks Melanie about halfway through the game and tries to strangle her, though he's under mind control at the time. More directly, (Major spoilers!), the final puzzle of the game requires Halligan to stab Melanie in the stomach, something the game is surprisingly blase about.

You encounter a homeless man early on who has a drinking problem: Halligan takes advantage of this by spiking his drink to steal the spare change he's collected.

Debatable - The protagonist Halligan works at Scotland Yard, but he and most of his coworkers are obnoxious and inept, with many of them deliberately causing problems for each other. So it mostly depends on how intentional you read that unflattering portrayal to be.

An antagonist slits his own throat towards the end of the game, though it's implied that that action is magically forced on him rather than his choice.

A rather graphic scene of a person being mutilated, one stabbing and a closeup of a character slitting his own throat.
