We don’t see abuse, but one animal is outright killed.

One head gets pierced by a sharp object, another is bashed in with a blunt weapon.

We see them both on fire, and with severe burns afterwards. Skip or look away when Pearl backs someone up against the dining room wall.

A knife is pulled in one scene but it’s not actually used on anyone.

There are a few violent struggles where characters could possibly break some bones BUT we don’t see it and it’s not actually confirmed.

Not in a death way, but Pearl does sacrifice her own happiness and dreams, could be seen as a part of herself, in order to try and live the simple farm life with her husband that's always been expected of her. As shown in the credits, she knows she'll be miserable for the rest of her life.

There are a few scenes with the main character Pearl in a bath, but it’s very clean and tasteful.

Slight dribble from Pearl's father, and spittle from pearl when speaking with a lot of emotion.

We don’t actually see it in the movie but characters speak about how a physically disabled man often soils himself and needs to have his clothing changed and be cleaned.

something brown appears to be dribbling out of pearls fathers mouth at one point but we dont get any indication its vomit, and rather its implied its his medication

Audio gore frequently accompanies the killings.

It’s implied repeatedly that the main character Pearl has a mental illness.

Subtextual beginnings of it. Nowhere near as intense as we know it will get in 'X'.

A fertilized egg is crushed, and some blood comes out. To avoid, look away when Pearl goes up to the hayloft.

Pearl resents her father for needing constant care. He's referred to as "an infirm".

There are no Black people in the film, probably for the best given the setting is 1918 Texas

One character lives where he works, and refers to himself as a 'bohemian', but he has no issue with it.

Someone is killed in a car they were trying to drive. It rolls some distance before stopping. Later, we see it being pushed into a lake.
