Greg is "smaller than 95% of kids at his school" and he's insecure of it. Also in PE the teacher seperates big strong kids and the little skinny/overweight ones, making them feel bad. Greg signs up for wrestling and they are sorted by weight, Greg and Fregley (who is the "weird" kid) get put on a team by themselves and singled out for still being small. Greg then goes home and puts lots of food on his plate in order to "bulk up"
