Juju finds Marin’s location through social media and ends up following Marin and Gojo from a cosplay event back to Gojo’s house. Juju then shows up there later to demand that he make her a cosplay outfit as well, and admits that she stalked the both of them and apologises for it.

There is a bit of an anime shown (within the show) that depicts a character in shackles and with a muzzle on in a prison cell. Marin buys Halloween prop shackles to cosplay this character but is not actually restrained.

Gojo frequently uses scissors to cut hair and fabric for the cosplays. He also cuts/pricks his fingers occasionally while sewing. No serious injuries.

Marin is 15, and is generally hyper-sexualized through the entire series to a pretty uncomfortable degree. She's often depicted in skimpy outfits or cosplays a character that is associated with sex.

Gojo’s parents are dead and he lives with his grandfather. It’s only mentioned once but a shrine of his parents and grandmother is shown several times. No details are given.

Marin mentions that her mother got sick and passed away.

Marin and Gojo are watching a horror movie/series with references to Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Ringu/The Ring and when a character looks in the mirror, there is a creature thing that pops up behind her. This is an extremely minor jump scare that might not even affect people, but I figured I’d mention it just to be safe.

There are several scenes that take place directly before or after someone taking a bath or shower. The characters are in the bathroom undressing or wrapped in a towel.

Gojo could be construed as autistic-coded but it’s not confirmed and there is no abusive language about autistics.

In S1 E4, Gojo becomes extremely overwhelmed with all of his obligations and responsibilities and becomes depressed and anxious. He kind of has a breakdown because of it. It’s not a panic attack in the sense of hyperventilating and stuff, but it was still pretty upsetting and triggering for me to watch as someone who has pretty bad anxiety. I’m voting yes for this for that reason. In S1 E9, Juju faints from fear in the abandoned hospital. Her anxiety and fear have been building up to the point that she eventually collapses.

During the fireworks scene in the S1 finale, the fireworks are shown both in the sky and reflecting on Gojo and Marin’s faces. It does have a sort of strobe effect.

No hate speech but there is discrimination on the basis of gender roles/masculinity. A young girl rejects a young boy’s friendship due to his doll-making hobby, claiming that boys aren’t ‘meant’ to play with dolls.

Gojo regularly has sexual thoughts about Marin and is extremely embarrassed and disturbed by them. He apologises for it a lot but it’s a total non-issue to Marin. Lots of the outfits and cosplay costumes are extremely revealing in a sexual way.

The show is rated TV-MA and is not family-friendly. No scenes depicting actual sex, but there are lots of innuendos, sound effects, and allusions to sexual content/behavior. One of the characters that Marin cosplays as is a sex slave. Multiple scenes take place in a “love hotel” and there are props, etc in the room. Gojo and Marin end up in a sexual-type situation but nothing actually happens.

Gojo is made fun of for liking dolls during the first episode and has some flashbacks of it during the rest of the anime

S1 has a relatively open-ended finale but it’s definitely happy and hopeful.
