Early in the film, when the girls arrive at the house, a piece of sharp glass falls from a chandelier and kills a lizard passing by underneath it. The lizard is portrayed in a mixture of stop-motion animation and a still model and does not look very realistic. After the lizard dies, Blanche the cat comes up to the body and begins eating it, although this isn’t very graphic.
Late in the movie, during the final confrontation between the girls and the haunted house, Kung-Fu attacks a scary painting of Blanche the cat. When she destroys the painting, it also kills the real cat. Blanche is briefly shown going limp in her owner’s arms. There is no blood when the real cat dies, but the cat painting begins to vomit blood afterwards.
