It is not known if you are not familiar with the book. The movie on amazon prime is simply titled “Spoiler Alert”. The synopsis mentions “falls ill” but you have to know there’s a book with a longer title to know that the result is actual death.

Yes, very briefly around 1:13minutes and 15 seconds. When you see a character walk out of the bathroom to the other character to show him that his hair has started falling out, skip ahead 15 seconds. The next shot cuts to audio & visual of a character getting sick. The score of the film is playing too so the audio is dampened by that. It’s not meant to be a horrific gross-out scene, it lasts maybe 3-5 seconds, but you will want to look away and mute if inclined. The rest of the movie is safe!

Heart wrenching and agonizingly sad. The ending tries to be optimistic. But it is aggressively raw in its realism. There is no escaping the pain especially if you have ever watched or had a loved one suffer from cancer.
