Tess is strangled by a mechanical suit controlled by the antagonist, but Cady saves her. Various people are shown suffocating to death in a room filled with neurotoxin during a flashback.
Two people have their necks broken, though one survives.
[SPOILER] The true main antagonist has his arm broken severely, with the bone shown poking out.
Jemaine Clement plays a character who is able to walk through the use of nanotechnology. In his first scene, he is in a wheelchair, then stands up to demonstrate the power of his tech. He remains able-bodied for the rest of the film
Pretty mild. I’m quite sensitive to jump scares, but the only ones in the film are typical of most thrilling action films you’d see. The horror is downplayed significantly in this film, with only a handful of scenes emphasising horror elements, most of which is detained by humour or action. Even then, it’s predictable when you should close your eyes, and the jump scares themselves aren’t even that intense
Spoiler— a character is restrained in a hospital and has a chip put in her brain against her will, with talk of it making her easier to get along with. Very potentially triggering
M3gan bangs her head against a wall. Not sure if it really counts because she doesn't have nerves, but still. It's temporarily seen as suicide/self harm.
Quite intense at parts. If you’re sensitive to this, I’d recommend looking away during a fight scene where M3GAN takes control of Gemma for a fight scene
Gemma says to Megan that she is upset that she “threatened to put her in a wheelchair”… like being in a wheelchair is the worst thing that could happen to a person.
Amelia during the party sequence. Cady also says Gemma looks like a "Portuguese prostitute" right before said sequence, though it's meant in a condescending way rather than than sexually.
