After cracking the biggest case in Zootopia's history, rookie cops Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde find themselves on the twisting trail of a great mystery when Gary De’Snake arrives and turns the animal metropolis upside down. To crack the case, Judy and Nick must go undercover to unexpected new parts of town, where their growing partnership is tested like never before.
Since they are all animals and it's a children's movie, meaning there are no deaths (in this case), then no, the dog doesn't die, you can rest assured.
A secondary character is arguably emotionally abused by his rich dad because he doesn’t “act correctly” in public, he later tries to be accepted by his family to a toxic degree.
At one point, it appears that a cat-like character dies. However, it is revealed that they have not died and they do not die throughout the rest of the film.
Multiple people are drugged with lethal snake venom, tranquilizers or even a close call with a lethal injection. The snake venom can be cured by a hospital stay or by an epi-pen like device.
No but there is a scene where Judy and Nick go into a water-pipe that transports people around the city and, not being aquatic they struggle to hold their breath. They are saved.
i answered no, and this is a huge stretch, but felt worth mentioning. Decapitation is an *extreme* trigger for me and there's a scene where a lizard sheds its whole skin, which is left intact, and then the head falls off. It squicked me out, but unless it's a super major trigger for someone it should be fine.
More of a joke as the character literally says “jumpscare” but some kids or people sensitive to them might be affected by it. It’s in the prison scene after you see the lamb character from the last movie.
Right after Nick and Judy break out of the water slide and after they stop talking to each other some goats come along and one of them like 3 seconds into their conversation starts coughing up flowers and it is over pretty quick and It was not that bad for me as a severe Emetophobe
There is a second scene while Judy is in a motorcycle with a snake the snake starts coughing up a book that lasts for about 6 seconds again it was not that bad the other one was a little more hard because I did not expect it
That is unfortunately a staple of this movie, though some cops are shown doing the wrong thing and trying to stop the good guys, the good guys are also cops.
An emotionally priceless item breaks (the carrot pen), but it's fixed at the end. An ancient box customized with clockwork dolls seems to be burned (a flaming object is thrown at it), but this is not directly shown or confirmed.
Yes, no strobing but flashing of camera flash bulbs and such a few times throughout the movie, best to watch in a well-lit room and take precautions if you have photosensitivity.
While shearing another sheep, a barber is distracted and goes from giving the sheep abs to a tutu like shape and breasts. It is clearly a joke, the punchline being that it’s both silly and “not manly” as opposed to the previous haircut.
Nick makes jokes about the species of others, which would be akin to racism in their world. The plot is also very similar to real life and what happened to Chinese Americans and Indigenous peoples, especially as one of the main characters has an Asian-American accent
SPOLIERS below The infrastructure used to make zootopia habitable for all animals is stolen and the credit is given to a rich man, despite the infrastructure being made by snakes. They attempt to cover up this crime as well as exiling and outlawing snakes and reptiles from their own land, they spread false information that snakes are dangerous and all snakes are forced into hiding. The rich person’s motivation is to hoard as much land as possible. In the end they find proof of the snakes being who founded (?) zootopia and are un-banned and stigma against them is reduced.
I wasn’t into a conspiracy theorist being one of the heroes, personally. They have correct theories that aren’t conspiracy theories but also weird views like “Jackalopes are real and everyone’s in denial.” IRL, conspiracy theories are frequently linked to antisemitism, so I feel like the character could’ve easily been observant and suspicious of the lynxes while leaving out the conspiracy theorist angle.
