there’s a crow that gets caught for food and the guy snaps its neck. it’s quick but it does happen, no excess gore though. the main bird (golden conure named Darwin) who is shown at the beginning and with them throughout the movie does NOT die.

I’m assuming the reason people are upvoting this is because the film shows no certification for a cruelty-free set. (And doesn’t show up on American Humane’s website.) Also, in an interview the cast noted that the conure’s feathers had been clipped to prevent it from flying, so depending on your feelings about clipping bird’s feathers, that might be a concern, too.
