U.S. Navy SEAL Chris Kyle takes his sole mission—protect his comrades—to heart and becomes one of the most lethal snipers in American history. His pinpoint accuracy not only saves countless lives but also makes him a prime target of insurgents. Despite grave danger and his struggle to be a good husband and father to his family back in the States, Kyle serves four tours of duty in Iraq. Yes the dog lives. But the scene is was so disturbing I had to leave the theatre. Don't watch if you are extremely empathetic towards dogs.

This movie contains one of the most unsettling death scenes I have ever seen even though it is not fully shown. A child is held hostage and threatened with a power drill to the head and eventually killed. That scenes has scarred me for life and I don't think I will ever be able to see it or anything like it again, not to mention hearing the child scream. I cannot explain how awful it was for me as a mother to watch that, even though I knew it wasn't real, it was based on real events.
