The vampires all live on a ship and move from place to place. Some of them might look stereotypically like homeless people but I don't think anyone is technically unhoused.
A number of bone breaks - inc. the vampire Marlow snapping the neck of 'the stranger' cuffed in the station holding cell (particularly graphic sound), & the leg of one of the towns people chasing his wife being dragged away under houses when the attack first begins
I'm not sure I would describe it as copaganda but the main character is the local sheriff and what makes him the hero is that he's a good person willing to sacrifice himself to save others. He is not the hero just because he's a cop.
Main character Eben uses a needle to extract blood from recently turned (to vampire) & deceased friend Billy & then inject the blood into his own wrist
There is a brief reference to a character using pot as part of their cancer treatment at about 24 minutes in. There are no further references to cancer afterward.
At 11:45 to 12:30 the dogs bodies are shown, after a birdeye view of the town.
