It's shown that the main character's father who is extremely strict and sometimes crosses the line into child abuse was treated the same way by his parents, commentary on the cycle of abuse. This is all shown in cutscenes which can be skipped.

There is a cutscene where the childbirth happens offscreen, it doesn't show anything and doesn't make any noises besides some crying. And the baby stage talks about his birth, not in detail
