For over a decade, the big 4 TV networks had a new competitor, launched by Paramount, called the United Paramount Network. From passing on the biggest show in television and broadcasting a failed football league to the corporate mess at the very top of parent company Viacom that sealed UPN's fate, we explore all of the factors that led to the demise of the network that, at one point, seemed destined to change the television landscape.
