Some events in game can cause sudden unprompted loud noises, like the power going out. Also sometimes objects can colide weirdly with the enviroment and get stuck in walls, floors, or other objects and create really loud and annoying sounds. Certain signals that you find can also be fairly loud though there is a volume setting on the in game control panel to adjust that.

Cockroaches and wasps are present in the game. There is one entity that resembles a giant centipede, but you have to intentionally be looking to summon it for it to appear. Some other entities also resemble bugs, like praying mantises.

Oh yes. There are a LOT of mannequins that appear in the base when the player first arrives. They can be destroyed (by force, not burnt) so they are out of the way.
