Nell Serrano is a broke and newly single self-described disaster. She works to restart the life and career she left behind some 10 years ago. When writing obituaries is the only job she can find, Nell starts getting life advice from an unlikely (and dead) source.
Lexi's father is multiple times mentioned to have been neglectful and pseudo-absent. In one episode he is supposed to come to an important business meeting and doesn't show up. At the end of the season Lexi tells Sam that her husband is leaving her and her kids but neither the husband nor the kids are ever shown on screen
There is mention of the word b*** about 3 times in one sentence towards the beginning of the ep (probably about 3 mins into the ep) after Lexi reads a sign that says, “Live Laugh Love” but she’s just saying the word, not doing it. Just wanted to put this incase there is someone that is triggered by the word as well.
About 5 mins in, Nell is coughing while eating a scone bc it’s dry and Lexi is talking to her father. No v**** but crumbs fly out of her mouth a few times for a few seconds. Not triggering but thought it was worth mentioning.
At around 1:06 into the episode, (very beginning) Nell is called depreciating & then complains that she’s not and quickly spits out toothpaste into the sink. Very clearly shown but fast.
A character says "what, do you have Asperger's or something?" The other character later explains that he is on the Autism spectrum and that word should not be used.
words like crazy, insane, jerkface. also an autistic character is called a man baby for having needs by the main character. there is also someone in the office is supposed to be very weird and gets treated that way.
nell gets into a minor crash in season 1 episode 7. she got distracted and hit the truck in front of her. nobody got hurt but her car got kinda busted.
