In the last scene of the ep, after Lottie falls asleep, Mia mounts a drunk Jacob as he repeatedly says no, and pulls down his underwear anyway, literally forcing him into penatrative sex he clearly verbally expresses non-consent, more than once. She also lies to him, giving him a lack of context for proper consent (which he doesn't give anyway). The show, while portraying Mia as a manipulative sort of femme fatale, doesn't acknowledge this as assault or rape or even upsetting, beyond a vague idea that he's upset he's "cheating" falling on the common trope that men can't be raped if they are physically aroused or ejaculating, which are involuntary physical responses. Maybe the show will take a sudden turn and change tones, but it doesn't seem like it's heading that way. I found it very sudden and upsetting to watch, mostly because the show was clearly treating this as a "sexy infidelity brought on by lying seductress homewrecker" storyline and not as an upsetting moment of grave sexual violence.
