The anime is about a videogame world. There's plenty of violence but wounds are represented by the affected areas of the body disintegrating into small shiny square particles
Played for "laughs." The protagonist claims to have been traumatized by a badly-programmed dating sim and to have PTSD flashbacks when he has to juggle NPCs' opinion of him. He stands motionless and trembling at the thought.
The post-credits scenes address the audience directly, presenting a bonus scene, an outtake, or a joke based on the episode just seen. S01E14.5, a recap episode, has no fourth wall at all, referring to individual scenes and episodes as such and critiquing each others' actions.
S01E12. A male player is running a female character in the titular MMORPG. When an NPC refers to him as "her," the protagonist gently corrects her mistake, describing the situation as though the female character is a pre-transition trans man. The NPC accepts it, but is utterly confused because they never thought of that as possible. The only part played as a joke is the NPC's reaction at the end.
