Ben, Thomas and Charlotte are shown to be abused since they were children, and the family continously abuse Charlotte for the sake of the baby, which could be interpreted as baby abuse on top of abuse of Charlotte.
At the start of the movie, Charlotte's first symptom of pregnancy is feeling dizzy at work, which leads her to vomit in the stable. The scene is shown.
The whole movie is about psychological abuse in which Charlotte is trapped in her in-law's house. She gets locked into the house and in her bedroom continuously.
A scene initially makes it look like Charlotte wants to self-harm and possibly kill herself, but later she decides to cut her palm and use the blood to fake a miscarriage.
A scene initially makes you think Charlotte wants to self-harm, but eventually she cuts her palm and uses the blood to fake a miscarriage instead of actively wanting to self-harm.
No gore, but there is blood at two moments: when Charlottes cuts herself on glass (minor) and when Charlotte cuts her palm and uses the blood to fake a miscarriage (major).
The in-laws are insane and traumatised by their past, and Charlotte becomes insane from the domestic abuse and isolation. Everyone is violent in numerous ways at numerous moments.
