In attempt to find a non-violent alternative for reducing Hell's overpopulation, the daughter of Lucifer opens a rehabilitation hotel that offers a group of misfit demons a chance at redemption.
A character killed their father and another character is antagonizing him by saying, "What, did he hit you?" In a really sarcastic tone. It's further complicated imo because the character receives a lot of abuse, so it is tragic to consider that character may have been abused in life and death. I haven't gotten far enough to know if they were actually abused or not.
Vox and Valentino are frequently seen watching the main cast using Voxtech cameras, unbeknownst to the other characters. It isn’t very scary or creepy, but it does happen
When Angeldust is singing Poison, there’s a part were he’s being sexually assaulted/abused by a pack of werewolves and it can be really disturping to watch.
No but a sexually predatory villain calls Niffty (who is small and whose behaviour is sometimes childlike) "chiquita" meaning "little girl" in a scene that could feel reminiscent of that.
I’m not sure how to answer this one but there is a scene in episode 6 where Sir Pentious agrees to have sex with everyone at a bar, and gets dragged off into a room by some guy, and it is kind of played for laughs
Vincent slits a news reporter’s throat. It’s rather quick, but there is quite a bit of blood. It happens just after he says, “where there’s a will, there’s a way”.
There is a town in Hell known as "Cannibal Town," which is pretty much exactly what it sounds like. It's played for laughs, and actual cannibalism is only shown on camera briefly and not terribly graphically.
The show is about dead people, either living their afterlives as demons in Hell or angels in Heaven, & the demons in Hell trying to escape being killed a second death by Heaven during the annual exterminations; there's a lot of death in this show.
Technically no, but the hotel gets destroyed in a battle, with scenes of rubble all around & debree falling, which may feel too similar to the events of 9/11 for some viewers.
Alastor's outed to himself. Rosie calls him an ace in the hole in reference to his asexuality but he isn't actually aware as he was born way before those terms became known.
Vaggie isn't being dead named, Adam's just an a**hole. She chooses to go by a nickname instead of her real name, but as she isn't trans, it's not deadnaming.
Not as if writing this comment but there is RAMCOA/TBMC/HBMC and cult themes throughout both seasons as well as sex trafficking/sex slavery which may be triggering to people with DID/plurality
Lucifer says the line "My daughter wants to see me! Take that, depression!" It's played for laughs and he isn't depicted showing symptoms of depression aside from regular bad moods.
no one dies by suicide but a character does attempt it by pointing a gun to his head and shooting it, but the character is not actually harmed by this at all. it’s played for laughs
Angel Dust does make a passing comment saying "My lunch was three cigarettes," implying that he skips meals. However it doesn't seem like an eating disorder, more a joke about him smoking a lot, and since nicotine does suppress appetite, it's not unlikely that he skipped lunch because he just wasn't hungry.
Alastor is Creole but this isn't referenced directly or apparent in his design beyond Voodoo symbols floating around him when he is being particularly ominous or spooky.
In the pilot episode, when Niffty appears, she runs around, saying that the hotel needs a lady’s touch, which is weird because they’re all ladies. (They’re not, Angel and Alastor are guys)
No but Angel seems to be vulnerably housed, saying in the pilot and ep 1 that he only lives at the hotel because it is rent free and he can't afford to both rent and feed his addiction.
