It follows a dedicated family man who becomes obsessed with saving the lives of the car accident victims on the sharp corner in front of his house — an obsession that could cost him everything.

he's never explicitly cruel to his son, but he does pull him from fun activities to keep him home as much as he can, and then his neglect for his son's distress as he parks in front of a terrible car accident and leaves his son alone scared in the car, so his son wanders out after him and witnesses a horrific scene of a crashed car with a burned corpse in the front seat. afterwards, he constantly downplays the severity of him seeing that stuff to the point of lying to the child therapist about his behaviors to keep him from getting diagnosed with PTSD (that he clearly does have). he also tries his damnedest to keep his family in the house that they're now terrified of living in, simply because he himself wants to keep witnessing crashes.
