During a power outage, two strangers tell scary stories. The more Fred and Fanny commit to their tales, the more the stories come to life in the dark of a Catskills cabin. The horrors of reality manifest when Fred confronts his ultimate fear: Fanny is the better storyteller.
Very little gore. One person gets accidentally impaled on a fire poker at the end of the movie, but there is very little blood, no closeup of the injury, and the injury occurs off camera.
The sound effects are very good in this movie. Everything is acted out between two people trying to scare each other, but the sound effects match what they are acting, not the actual sounds in the room. Vomit happens in one scene.
