This guy can't seem to keep dogs! His two dogs died in the first movie. Now he's grown up and gets new dogs. They also die for weird reasons, and it seems to have no bearing on the plot. I guess the writers just thought a tragic ending would be better than a guy growing old and enjoying his life with his new dogs.
