A Norwegian family checks into a hotel in La Palma. But when a young researcher discovers alarming signs from the volcano located in the center of the holiday paradise, the mood quickly turns chaotic when it is feared that a volcanic eruption will trigger the world's largest tsunami.

A character’s drinking is a point of contention between a married couple, but it doesn’t really seem like said character is drinking to excess at any point… He’s never shown drinking more than the occasional glass of beer or wine while on vacation, and never seems to be inebriated. The show doesn’t get into why his spouse is so upset about it, but it’s vaguely implied there are health concerns.
At the end of episode one there is a massive poisonous gas emission from the mountain. Several characters attempt to run away from the gas and struggle to breathe as they try to get away.
(SPOILER) there is a fake out in this episode where the audience is led to believe that Sara has died in the plane crash. It turns out that she’s fine, but it’s very emotional and intense.

The teenager daughter is confronted by her mother in a caring and kind way, where she comes out in a deeply emotional sequence but she isn't outed and it's implied the mother already knew but hadn't asked. She was also very accepting and kind to her daughter.
I’m marking no for now but there is an autistic character who embodies the savant stereotype and seems to be played by a neurotypical child (not confirmed but he’s not reading autistic to me). That said, there’s nothing that stuck out as super exaggerated or inaccurate about the portrayal.
There is an autistic child and so far he seems loved and accommodated by his family. At one point his mom says something about having to revolve her life around his schedule, but it is said while arguing with her husband, not within his earshot.
Two characters willingly do something suicidal together in order to end things on their own terms and witness a natural phenomenon few get to see, not because they wanted to die, or were suicidal. (Thought the context might matter to some)
I didn’t notice any behaviorism, withholding, or other ABA tactics used on Tobias. Just some routines to help him with transitions and unexpected events. I know it can be insidious so feel free to correct me.
Some main characters walk through a cave that felt a little tight when it happened however the cave itself is large. It bothered me but might not bother someone else.

I haven’t finished it yet but I can’t imagine there’s any scenario where thousands of people don’t die. I will update if the main characters mostly make it out.
Update: (SPOILERS) Most of the main characters do survive. But not all. (/spoilers)
