It was broadcast as part of the Sunday Gekijo summer suspense series and became the talk of the town. The unique cast includes Koji Yakusho as Iemon, Yoshiko Sakaguchi as Oiwa, Kayoko Kishimoto as Osode and Kumiko Oba as Oume.
