Motion Picture and comedy came into their own as unforgettable comedians made the leap from Broadway, radio, and vaudeville. Move-Making tried to keep pace with the non-stop zingers and zany antics of The Marx Brothers, Abbot & Costello, The 3 Stooges, and the inseparable duo of Edgar Bergen and Charlie McCarthy. The stars of solo performers were also rising fast and furiously as Bob Hope Jimmy Durante, Victor Borge and Mae West Joined the big leagues of laugh-making.
