Report
Michael Jackson's third music video and also third and final promotional video for the Off the Wall album. In it, Jackson passionately sings in a blue-green shirt and dark pants, while sitting on a barstool with a spotlight shining behind. The video uses a split screen technique to simultaneously show him from two different angles during the second and third verses. The video is shown far less frequently than Jackson's later videos, but it's included on Michael Jackson's Vision, marking its first DVD release. Bruce Gowers directed a similar video for Jackson: "Rock with You". The accompanying song for this video was pivotal in cementing Jackson's status as an up and coming force in the music industry as it became the fourth U.S. Hot 100 Top 10 from Off the Wall, breaking the record for most U.S. Hot 100 Top 10s from one album by a solo artist. The only U.S. single from Off the Wall without a video was "Off the Wall". 4 years later, he beat his own record with Thriller (7 U.S. Top 10s).
