The dog does die, and the body is found under the house with rats eating it. Ultimately, the wish that killed the dog is reversed, and the story time travels back to before the dog died. The movie ends with the dog alive.
The main character does use the wishing magic to make her crush "madly in love" with her. So, realistically, he's not truly consenting for their relationship.
He also becomes really pushy about being with her, which might make people uncomfortable.
No idea why anyone has said yes. There's a fakeout where it seems like someone might be about to get set on fire, but nobody is burned. Let alone alive.
A girl gets flesh eating bacteria on her feet and it’s mentioned that she loses some toes but there is absolutely no scene showing any kind of mutilation.
