Depends on your definition. The main player characters were raised from very young ages (mostly 7-8) to become soldiers, they are all 16-17 as of the present. Main characters seem to have an unhealthy attachment to the woman who trained them, whom they refer to as Mother, and seem to be poorly socialized for kids their age. Most if not all of the cadets are teenagers/child soldiers and are forced to fight in actual wars, often resulting in their deaths.
