Not a dog, a calf is shot then kicked. This does not happen with extreme suspense, this is only to build character for our storyline. The calf is not killed on screen.
-A calf is shown after a complicated breech birth, and is then shot in the head. The protagonist also kicks the dead calf shortly after. -A dead lamb is graphically butchered and skinned
The main character handles the animals roughly when he is emotionally distressed, and in one scene his boyfriend has to tell him to calm down/ "it's not her[the cow's] fault".
When they go to the pub together (the two main characters)
Johhny is drunk and make out with someone in the bathroom/toilets
And Georgy is angry after that
- Johnny (the protagonist) calls Gheorghe (the Romanian migrant working on his farm) by the slur g*psy several times at the beginning of the movie. He stops after Gheorghe stands up for himself. A random man at a bar flicks beer in Gheorghe's face and mocks his accent. - Johnny also calls Gheorghe a f*ggot" after their first sexual encounter, but Gheorghe says it back to him, playfully, and it's repeated at the end of the movie. There is no hate speech or slurs used by a straight character against a gay/bi character.
The protagonist cuts his hand, and you can see the cut in several scenes. Additionally, you see some blood and guts on the farm from things like animals being born or being processed after dying.
