After breaking up with his girlfriend, Josh comes to the realization that he is homosexual. With the support of his now ex girlfriend Claire, and his best friend and house mate Tom, Josh must help his mother with her battle with depression and the rest of his family embrace his new found lifestyle.

I understand why people are saying no, it was a woman attacking a man, and none of the characters really mentioned it ever again. But if it helps the creators of the show confirmed that it was rape.
After burying a dead pet, the couple goes to her room and she is ordering her do do things and if he speaks or hesitates she slaps him. The whole scene he was clearly uncomfortable and she even disregards his request to use protection. Afterwards he spends the next few episodes extra sad and using marijuana more and being far more sexually loose going as far as to hire a prostitute.

Season 1 episode 1 — 18 minutes and 15 seconds in when Josh is visiting his mom in the hospital. It’s a moment after he sits down to talk with her she gets s*ck there is audio no visual (she does it into a bag) and it is safe after 17 minutes and 25 seconds. Immediately after this though the doctor asks if she is still “v*miting” but it’s just a mention of it and she doesn’t get s*ck anymore, rest of the episode is safe.
