Reiko's daughter died in her backstory; there are also several teens and one young girl who can potentially die (resulting in a game over), and at least one of them dies over the course of the plot.
An abusive man has a vision of the women he's abused welcoming him to the afterlife as he's dying, though it's hard to say if that's meant to be real or just in his head. Conversely, Miyako very clearly does not forgive the villagers for their mistreatment of her.
