Many people are thrown in prison where they're obviously kept in bad conditions. One time Morgana is chained up in the dungeons and when the king lets her leave she has bruises. Then Gaius in kept imprisoned once and is tortured by not getting food and water while being interrogated for many days, ... Many other cases of torture happen later too.
