Players regularly spy on others without their knowledge, usually by drinking invisibility potions. For a brief period of time, Felony intrudes on Royal's grounds, leaving behind unwanted gifts.
Several parental figures on the server mentally and emotionally harm their children, however, this is completely unintentional and due to flaws on the parents' part. They are trying their best. (darubyprincxx, RGBmothman). luckyrabbitclaws' POV also features a manipulative relationship with the Minecraft Void, which is characterized and implied to be his creator/parental figure.
In Minecraft, players can drink magical potions to gain temporary positive and negative effects (increased speed and strength, jump boost, invisibility, night vision, etc.). These are occasionally jokingly referred to as drugs.
In Minecraft, many different types of animals (mainly farm animals) are kept in pens and regularly killed for resources, food, and experience. This is a common and normalized experience within the game, and is as such treated quite casually.
It's complicated, but basically, not on purpose or with clear malicious intent. Many farms in Minecraft take advantage of various animals' automatic regenerative properties (namely sheep) and keep them in very small spaces with the bare minimum to keep them alive. This is treated quite casually, since the animals do not display signs of distress and are, for all intents and purposes, fine.
Dogs do not fight other dogs, however, there is a Minecraft game mechanic in which dogs a player tames will follow their owner's lead and attack their enemies on command. So technically, yes, there is dog fighting in the sense that dogs are used to help fight other players, but it does not apply to the meaning of the phrase as used here.
On several occasions, mostly in the form of gore and decay (gore: Galladegamer, whose head is also disconnected from his neck due to being beheaded one time, decay, p1lfer after he is killed and becomes a ghost)
Minecraft has no blood. It is important to note, however that at several points players' skins feature blood (luckyrabbitclaws) and, at one point, a player whose skin was entirely burnt off, revealing the muscle underneath (Galladegamer, all instances of this properly warned for).
A good chunk of the server players are "non-human" with either hybridization or being another species entirely. They casually and temporarily die by Minecraft rules. Mobs such as zombies and endermen are also killed.
Minecraft does not have vomit. Players do not make vomiting sounds. Very occasionally, the phrase "I'm going to throw up" is uttered, but 99% of the time, people don't.
Several perspectives include low-quality, glitchy, or very bass-heavy audio whether as a result of the player's audio equipment or sporadically as stylistic choices (Galladegamer, darubyprincxx, luckyrabbitclaws).
Several of the characters are canonically plural systems (darubyprincxx, marine_beats, luckyrabbitclaws to an extent) and they are played by plural systems.
At several points during the series, characters experience feelings of loss of sensation, reality, or awareness of self (marine_beats, luckyrabbitclaws, darubyprincxx).
Many of the players are autistic. Many of their characters are also autistic. The autistic experience is represented well, faithfully, and has realistic impacts on interpersonal dynamics and individual character arcs.
Since all deaths are temporary on Etern1ty, dying on purpose to respawn does not function as a true suicide. However, there are several major instances and plot points (namely in luckyrabbitclaws' POV) in which a player kills themself and does not come back for an extended amount of time on purpose. This is referred to as a "permatempdeath".
Regularly, in different forms, mostly in the form of intentional self-neglect and emotional and mental self-harm. (luckyrabbitclaws, marine_beats darubyprincxx). All instances are properly warned and accounted for ahead of time.
Several characters and perspectives (namely luckyrabbitclaws, Galladegamer, and darubyprincxx, also NightPhoenix901) go through meltdowns or mental breakdowns on screen.
The Etern1ty SMP is not a PG-13 server. Everyone swears casually and frequently. The sole exception to this is Galladegamer, who does not swear and edits every instance of other people swearing out of his episodes by hand.
Several perspectives include glitchy or flashing scenes at various points (Galladegamer, luckyrabbitclaws, darubyprincxx), all of which are properly warned for and pointed out.
Frequently and several times (darubyprincxx, luckyrabbitclaws). Several characters (Keys darubyprincxx, Moth RGBmothman, Whip EagleWarrior161) are aware of events that will occur on the server ahead of time.
I don't think there is a single alloromantic allosexual person on the server. Not only are arospec and acespec identities and nuances the norm for relationships and experiences on the server, they are normalized, respected, and accepted without comment.
Not at all. A large portion of the whitelist is disabled in some way whether in or out of character, and this is consistently respected and accounted for without question.
On-server religion is discussed at certain points, however no real world religion is properly discussed. Around Haunnukah (2024) there is a menorah built, and around Christmas (2024) a Santa hat is built on a spawn building.
Sometimes crossbows are jokingly referred to as "guns" but there's very rarely any true hostile intent. But people do shoot each other with them for fun.
