The protagonist is a wolf for large portions of the game, during which he can die just like usual, but these deaths are non-canonical and non-permanent, as video game deaths tend to be.
One of the bosses, Stallord, has a second phase where he is just a decapitated skull. You can also cut the "heads" off plant enemies called deku babas.
Some enemies are skeletal animals, such as Stalhounds and Stallord, and Death Sword has an animal skull for a head. There are also ghosts of rats in Arbiter's Grounds. However, you never see an intact dead animal nor any meat.
This game and said franchise is safe from sexual assault. I will warm in breath of the wild and tears of the kingdom, the great fairies (they are used to upgrade your armor) do make questionable advances on link. But it is not full blown assault.
The scene where Link first becomes a wolf could be seen as distressing especially to younger audiences but it's nothing that bad or that I personally would consider body horror.
There's an escort mission where you have to prevent a carriage with two people inside from catching on fire. If player doesn't put it out in time, the carriage burns. It isn't graphic and doesn't show the characters being burned, but they scream if it catches on fire.
In the last section of the twilight in lanaryu province the only way to get down to lake hylia is if you jump off the bridge, the player survives though.
Yes, a parent does die. Once you've gotten a good chunk of the story done and you thaw out Zora's domain, you are visited by the Ghost of Zora Prince Ralis' mom, Zora Queen Rutela, who tells you of her fate of being executed and asks you to take care of her son.
All the children from Ordon village are either visibly being kidnapped, or implied that they're kidnapped. Link also gets kidnapped at one point in the game. Colin is kidnapped a second time later in the story.
There's a cutscene where a doctor is brought in to look at a sick Zora boy, and one area of the game is the hospital where the doctor NPC usually stands
No. However, it may be relevant to note that one character is seen visibly and audibly snapping/breaking his own neck near the end of the game during a cutscene. It's ambiguous as to whether he was already dead before doing so.
Very confused as to why people are voting yes on this. No character states unhappiness with their body. However, several characters are transformed into different forms against their will.
In Ordon Village, the character Uli is heavily pregnant and mentions she's due "any day" when Link (the player) has to retrieve a cradle for her. However, no harm comes to Uli or her baby at any point in the game. Also the character Malo is modeled to look like a baby/toddler, and might be upsetting for some people, especially since Malo is one of the children abducted at the beginning of the game.
Although I cannot tell if it was intentional, minor character Dr. Borville, having a large nose and being greedy, could be easily read as an antisemitic stereotype.
Argh, posted this on the wrong warning. There is no direct nudity but it may be relevant to note the Great Fairy is an optional side character who takes the form of a topless woman, although her nipples are covered by her hair. There is also a major humanoid character near the end who is wearing an ambiguous skintight outfit that may or may not be her natural body, albeit again with no visible nipples.
No, but it may be relevant to note the Great Fairy is an optional side character who takes the form of a topless woman, although her nipples are covered by her hair.
(SPOILERS) A post-credits scene shows Midna shattering the Mirror of Twilight before entering the realm, seperating the connection between the Twilight and the Light realms permanently.
Often overlooked, but Rusl, One of the villagers of Ordon was severely injured with blood on his bandages and face for when you visit his home after transforming back to Human Link for the first time.
