Mini Animals, quadrupedal pets that can be unlocked as cosmetics, cannot die by any means. If the player dies, the Mini Animal will lay down and sleep by their gravestone.
Super Animals (anthropomorphic animals) die often as a result of gameplay. They do not leave a body behind upon death, instead spawning a gravestone marker.
Certain emotes unlocked through purchases or item drops can cause the anthropomorphic Super Animal characters to express sadness. If a player with a Mini Animal pet is killed, the Mini Animal will lay down and sleep by their grave with a somber expression.
A child character dies onscreen in the season 2 finale of Super Animal Royale Tonight and a clone of the character is made afterward. This is not shown or brought up in-game.
An NPC found in Super Saharaland starts their interaction by popping out of a sarcophagus with a horror sting. This interaction can be ignored, but does have a cosmetic reward for triggering it.
A melee weapon that can be unlocked is a giant syringe. The "Dogna's Dart Gun" and "Dogna's Dartfly Gun" weapons shoots darts that heal allies or damage enemies when hit.
Skunk Bombs can be used in gameplay to slowly damage players over time with noxious gas. The Skunk Gas Wall that encroaches the map does the same thing. An NPC in Superite Mountain can succumb to it.

An NPC in Superite Mountain can be found inside of a jail cell. Players can unlock a prisoner cosmetic by performing a special interaction with the NPC.
No quadrupedal, non-sentient dogs can be killed in gameplay.
