This show is actually titled Dalziel and Pascoe not Pasco E but it wouldn't go to the Add this show part when I spelled it right. (It won't go to the Add a show part for the show Vera, so I haven't been able to do it). Anyway on the season 7 episode Mens Sana, a badger is seen walking around the grounds of a health spa at night. In the morning, his dead body is seen under a bush where it stays for 2 days until an old man who is staying there buried it. It is assumed it may have been poisoned, on purpose or by accident by consuming insecticide.
In season 5 episode 2, Cunning Old Fox, there is a Fox hunt in which Dalziel saves the Fox from being killed, but one is killed offscreen later, as a hunter walks in swinging a fox tail. After a man is killed by hunting dogs who were tricked into attacking him, the dogs are taken away, presumably to be put down.
In season 7, episode 1, The Unwanted, a dead sheep is drug across a field in order to infect livestock with hoof and mouth disease, and get a government bailout.
In season 8, episode 3, Great Escapes, dog fighting is heard and discussed, but not seen.
