A girl is raped by her boyfriend while passed out. When she goes to report this in court, she then denies it happens and says she just remembered she gave consent even though she did not.
In the first season, one of the people on Hannah's tapes is on the tapes because he was stalking her. In season three, Ani and Clay are suspicious of everyone for killing Bryce so they stalk them almost every episode.
Justin Foley is a child of a neglectful, drug- addicted mother and her abusive boyfriend. Justin and his mother's boyfriend get into a fight wherein the boyfriend chokes him and demands that he leave the house as his mother watches, powerless to stop what is happening.
This is at the end of the second season and is very, very graphic. so much though that a lot of people can't bear the watch it. I would advise not watching, especially if its a trigger.
The main characters are high schoolers who find themselves in many sexual situations. Some of these are consensual sex scenes while many of them are depicting harassment or rape.
5 highschoolers die throughout the series. the first death (in episode order not timeline) is the main plot for the first season and is continually brought up in the rest
There are a few so if you're VERY sensitive to jump scares maybe do t watch but I (I'm kinda very sensitive to them) could watch it with very little trouble (edit) im now in season 4 and there are actually kinda a lot of them

In episode 11, as Skye is reading Clay's fortune, her rolled up sleeve reveals horizontal scars. As Clay become angered with Skye for admonishing Hannah Baker deciding to commit suicide, Clay grabs her by the wrist and turns it palms-up so that her scars are visible. They appear very new and red.
At the end of season 1, a boy shoots himself off screen but you see his body in an ambulance. He suffers from brain trauma throughout the rest of the show.
I mean yeah the entirety of this show is about what happened after a girl killed herself...if you are triggered by self harm/suicide/rape DO NOT WATCH THIS SHOW
In episode 10, an elderly man and Jeff Atkins collide vehicles at an intersection with a felled stop sign (at which Sheri and Hannah Baker had previously crashed into). There are a few shots of the wreckage and the injuries sustained from the impact.
