Stretching the definition again, CGI prehistoric animals are seen mating, though it's not explicit in the slightest. The animals just climb on top of each other and the Narrator tells us they're mating.

Due to the nature of it being presented like a nature documentary, animal death is a heavily touched upon subject.. Whether through natural causes or predation.

There's an entire episode dedicated to the Carboniferous Period, a period in time notable for having Extremely Large Bugs. While CGI, the bugs are very large and rendered with high detail, including spiders, millipedes, dragonflies, etc. There are also some large bug like creatures in other episodes, though mostly sea based like Anomalocaris.

Although slightly stretching the definition, prehistoric creatures that produced/fertilized batches of eggs are killed soon afterwards.

there is suspenseful buildup and a jumpscare when a lizard walks by the spider's underground nest and gets attacked. It's a quiet scene, disrupted by sudden movement and noise.
