Three narratives ("Cutting Moments," "Home" and "Prologue") combine to create a shocking trilogy of modern American life, a portrait drawn with brushstrokes of hidden violence and disturbing cruelty. Directed by Douglas Buck, this unflinching film reveals what lies behind the drawn curtains of so-called "ordinary" households.

In the first segment, a child is being sexually abused by his father. It's the entire plot. *Do not see this movie altogether if that's triggering for you* (I suffered through it in its entirety because I wanted to know how it ended — bad idea).
In the third segment (titled "prologue"), we learn that the female lead had been sexually assaulted during a physical assault one year ago. We also find out that she was molested as a child by another character. Sexual abuse is the root of her plot.
Unfortunately, the filmmaker decided to show the fictional pedophile's artwork of nude children. Many of the paintings and sculptures are sexual in nature without showing any sex acts.

In the second segment, yes. The torture is not seen or heard by the viewer, but heavily implied. We see them tied up, and then get a glimpse of the bloody aftermath. Not as graphic as it sounds on paper.
