Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad
TV Show • 2004 • Animation
ReportKoyuki Tanaka was feeling the rut, though he’s only a teenager. Between the sheltered and stifling grind of school and the girls that spend their time not noticing him… Every day was just another day of being a total nobody. Enter Ryusuke: a local rock n’ roller haunted by a shady reputation. Together they form Beck, a dynamic band that just might be the salvation of the stagnant music scene. Sure, it’s going to take hard work and obsession to make it, but there’s something special in the sound. If the guys can stay true to their vision, the world awaits. Music can change your life, sometimes against your will. Just remember… When it’s live, anything can happen.

There are no explicit scenes, but the women & girl characters are constantly sexualized in creepy ways. I believe there is some catcalling here & there

About halfway through episode 22, Ryuuske vomits after eating rice balls from Tanaka’s mom. After he is handed one, just skip forward 10-15 seconds. It’s audio and visual, and he doesn’t wipe his mouth before saying a line that leads into the next scene.

At the end of episode 12 it’s shown on the news that a pop star died this way. It’s very quick & not graphic. It’s also called into question if it was actually suicide.
