When timid bank clerk Stanley Ipkiss discovers a magical mask containing the spirit of the Norse god Loki, his entire life changes. While wearing the mask, Ipkiss becomes a supernatural playboy exuding charm and confidence which allows him to catch the eye of local nightclub singer Tina Carlyle. Unfortunately, under the mask's influence, Ipkiss also robs a bank, which angers junior crime lord Dorian Tyrell, whose goons get blamed for the heist.

The dog, Milo, is a major character throughout the film who’s intelligent and knows how to get out of trouble. While he does come under gunfire at one point, it’s under circumstances in which guns are already well-established to be completely useless.
In the scene where Stanley first puts on the mask he is using it to prank his neighbor/landlord out of spite, including watching her while she is asleep.
One of the thugs grabs Milos legs from behind which causes Milo to cry out in pain briefly, I hate that sound. But Milo ends up saving the day with Stanley and both are safe and sound.
Not necessarily "crying" but Stanley is picked on and taken advantage of by others for being more sensitive and emotional than most men around him. Definite toxic masculinity.
