There are pretty frequent strobe-like effects in the game, mostly in the background. My photosensitive partner was able to enjoy the game without much difficulty, so they might not be too bad.

VERY BIG SPOILERS: The ending of the game is kind of a mix of happy and sad. A serious death from earlier is never resolved, and a main character does die at the end. It is very messy, and hard to categorize as really being a "happy" ending.
