A contemporary and culturally resonant drama about a young programmer, Elliot, who suffers from a debilitating anti-social disorder and decides that he can only connect to people by hacking them. He wields his skills as a weapon to protect the people that he cares about. Elliot will find himself in the intersection between a cybersecurity firm he works for and the underworld organizations that are recruiting him to bring down corporate America.
This tv show contains 31 potentially triggering events.
I don't remember a scene where it is shown but in S04E07 a character shares a memory where this happens to them. Another character mentions it again later in the same episode.
Abduction in the trunk of a car, shown as black image with the sound of driving and the passengers's unclear chattering for at least one minute I think in S04E07
SPOILERS FOR SEASON 4:
Both these are never graphically shown but told to the viewer.
Elliot was sexually abused by his father. Darlene was implied to be sexually assaulted as one of her fake names is "Dolores Haze" which is a reference to the main girl in "Lolita" and mentions being taken away as a child by a random adult when she was at an amusement park.
Both exhibit trauma responses associated with childhood sexual trauma. Some examples include: Elliot hating physical touch and Darlene seducing people to get what she wants.
