The Secret Saturdays is an American animated television series created by Canadian cartoonist Jay Stephens for Cartoon Network. It debuted on October 3, 2008, in the United States. The series follows the adventures of the Saturdays, a family of cryptozoologists that work to keep the truth about cryptids from getting out, in order to protect both the human race and the creatures themselves. The Saturdays travel the world searching for cryptids to study and battling twisted villains like the megalomaniac V.V. Argost. The series is influenced by the style of '60s-era Hanna-Barbera action series, and is combined with Jay Stephens' own personal interest in cryptozoology. The show finished its run on January 30, 2010 and is currently in reruns airing on Boomerang as of December 5, 2011. The Saturdays are also set to appear in Ben 10: Omniverse.

While it can be inferred that certain characters might be mistreated, it's nothing completely exact in show, and more up to your own depiction.
Francis is yelled at by Epsilon and the relationship seems complex in S2 E7, but it's mostly up to headcanon and personal depiction than actually shown in-series.
Zak Monday's can be inferred and is implicated (By regular Zak's own treatment by Drew Monday), however again, nothing completely revealed in show, but more implicated by things shown.

Yes. Oh my god Yes. I'm not sure who said "No", but it's explicitly untrue and this happens in the episode "And Your Enemies Closer" and it's genuinely the most haunting death in the series, and very on-screen, even if they don't say outright. "Oh God he's dead!!!" It is incredibly obvious he has died.

Same thing on the bug comment, the main Villain is repeatedly depicted using Insects against the Main Characters, which includes spiders in certain episodes. I think the only major depiction is in S1 E22 of actual spiders.
However, Argost's minion, Munya, has been combined genetically with cryptid spider dna, and splits extra limbs out of his back and claws, as well as spider webbing coming out of his mouth.

Throughout the whole show, bugs are heavily depicted, (sometimes even in the hundreds/and just generally lots of them.) Because the main villain utilizes them as weapons/tools and is regularly throwing dangerous cryptid bugs at the main characters, which includes a centipede like insect.
In a seperate episode, S1 E12, there are large Millipede like Crypids who are protectors of a tree, as well as in S2 E8, Giant Worm cryptids.

Ultimately, it is not "canon", but Doc's reaction to being inside a place where he previously lost countless friends and then convinced and manipulated he has lost his family the same way, reads very much that he has PTSD & Trauma from the initial event.

In S1 E11 "Black Monday" & E13 "Paris is Melting", when the Saturdays face off with their alternate reality doubles from a parallel dimension, reality gets unstable and warped around them, and especially starts to fall apart worse near the end of Black Monday. Paris is Melting also has a bit of this, but it doesn't get nearly as bad as Black Monday does.

Some of the later major villains in the series are Nagas, who are humanoid with snake halves & features. In the first episode, Kalmykian Snakes are talked about, but you can't see them very well in the photo that's shown.
In S1 E20 though, a group of characters have a bunch of snakes drop on them and attack them, which includes being repeatedly bitten. They make their escape pretty fast but it is a Lot of Snakes.
