The implied threat of physical violence is used as a parenting tool and presented as a good alternative to physical violence. The characters state they remain unsure whether physical violence as a disciplinary measure in parenting was right or wrong.

The Chances end up caring for a blind man’s prize pig, Mr. Curly Tail. Maw Maw, kills the pig. We don’t see the pig die but the family walks in to Maw Maw processing different cuts of pork. I didn’t find it funny at all because the rest of the Chance family (and the sensitive viewer) became attached to the sweet pig leading up to that horrible moment.
So in spite of 5 yes votes there were no comments so I ended up watching an episode I wouldn’t have otherwise watch. You’re welcome. 😑

In the first episode, Hope’s mother’s ex boyfriend says she attempted to strangle him with shoelaces. This is only mentioned, not shown.

i’m not sure which episode or season it is but it’s the one when they’re trying to get the raccoon out from under the house, he turns and barfs, sound and visual. def goes fast but made my stomach churn!
also another thing when jimmy and sabrina are at the park and she’s spinning she throws up i think but the sound was not too bad
they also gag frequently throughout this show

In s2 e9 “The Men of New Natesville” a trans woman gets into a physical altercation with the main character and a side character who she bullied as a teenager, pre transition. While recanting the story to his parents, the main character (and side character) refer to the woman as a “big man” and use he/him pronouns so as to avoid judgement from his family for fighting a woman. While not inherently malicious in nature, it is still misgendering.
