No dogs die. There are some guard dogs and in one scene someone easily slips past them in broad daylight because they're asleep. I briefly thought the dogs were poisoned but they are not, they get up and start barking a minute later.
Nothing graphic but there's a scene in a cosmetic surgery clinic including some brief shots of guinea pigs/rats and monkeys in cages, implying that they are used for experimentation.
Nothing too intense but there's a flashback scene showing a mother treating her little girl coldly and the child has a tantrum because of it. We also learn that later, as an adult, this girl was subjected to much worse psychological abuse by her mother.
Not a typical mental institution but there are some scenes where a character with mental health issues is being cared for at home. She is treated badly by her carers, drugged without consent, and in one scene she's forced into a straightjacket.
A character in her 60s is desperately afraid of aging and has extensive plastic surgery to look younger. One surgery goes wrong and she is horrified by her appearance.
Gaslighting is a major theme, proceed with caution. A character is kept imprisoned against her will and treated as though she is mentally ill and unable to care for herself. She grows increasingly desperate, doubts her own sanity, breaks down, and eventually dies by suicide.
Nudity in one scene with a naked woman floating in a pool. In another scene we see two fully-clothed people in the morning, and it's implied that they had sex the night before. Nothing graphic.
A character is regularly given injected drugs without her consent. We don't see this directly but we see a doctor holding up a syringe, and needle marks on her arm.
Only a little blood. Someone's face is cut in an attack and we see a bit of blood (the worst is turned away from the camera). Another person cuts their hands and there's blood seeping through gloves.
