It’s a Christian film (and one that especially focuses on sermonizing) so Jesus’s crucifixion is mentioned a few times to try to teach the audience to connect Christmas with his sacrifice

Kirk directly addresses the audience in the cold open and his narration occasionally pops in throughout the movie (some presented as being more told to Christian but others are very clearly meant for us)

This is a hateful alt-right film so "straight power" is 100% intended as a homophobic statement.

"Straight power." Alt-right propaganda made by an alt-right member. Celebrates violence towards non-Christian religions.

Promotes a distorted form of Christianity where materialism is glamorized and promotes violence towards non-Christian religions. Also opposes Christmas being secularized and being about anything other than Jesus (well, expect materialism, of course).

No but a good chunk of Christian’s concerns is that his family (and really society in general) focuses on indulgence around the Christmas season instead of helping the less fortunate…and the film weird justifies said indulgences

The movie recounts the historical St. Nicholas of Myra. Either way the movie runs on the premise that the Santa Claus figure is not real, especially since this is a Christian film
