An alien spaceship crash-lands in an isolated town in the middle of the Australian desert, releasing an insidious parasite that attacks the brain of all creatures including humans, making them disorientated, unnaturally strong and violent. Sargeant Jo Sharp, readying for a return to the big city beat, wakes to find the township, her family and friends falling victim to an evil that is spreading faster than it can be contained.
This movie contains 5 potentially triggering events.
Off screen deaths. Dog can be heard yelping before/during it's death. It's body is found shortly after, but it is so mangled that it is hard to identify as a dog.
Skip from 11:30 to 14 minutes to skip the offscreen whimpering and dog death as well as seeing the bloody aftermath. (basically, skip ahead when the guy hears something and goes outside.)
1) Done throughout the movie, mostly via the suspenseful music and a sudden noise while showing people standing still while staring.
2) There is also one scene where a possessed person runs in the background while the main character is looking away. 3) While a main character is searching a house, a possessed woman suddenly appears and screams/screeches at the main character before running into an adjoining room. 4) When a small group of survivors takes shelter in a building and they look at the two unbarricaded windows, the possessed suddenly throw themselves against the outside of the windows
At around the 50 min mark, two of the characters get a baby from one of the infected. Almost immediately after that, all of the infected in town start to chase them and during some of the chases, a shakey/handheld cam is used.
You see the aftermath of a dog being killed around 13 or 14 minutes and probably more blood/gore throughout the film (i'm only 15min in at the moment and hurriedly came here after my first trigger to check for more.)
