If you decide to skip (which I would recommend) here is what you will miss: (minor SPOILER) The minister tells the consort-candidate to remember the sensation of the needles and use it to learn to control her own arousal in order to be the best and win the competition. Depends on how you look at it because it's clear the tyranny doesn't stop regardless of regime and because so many people die, but (SPOILER).......................................................................... ex-minister IM Sung-jae, SEOL Jungmae, and YU Ja-Gwang are all alive and living anonymously amongst the people at the end.
